What are the ingredients of shampoo and formulations?

I only know this, from reading the backs of shampoo bottles when I had nothing else to read -- a almost unavoidable content in all shampoos is methylchloroisothiazolinone. I am guessing that this is some kind of astringent, because it appears in shampoos and not conditioners.
